Asikkala is a municipality about 25 km to the north of Lahti. It is in the north end of Lake Vesijärvi. Its center is on an isthmus between Lake Vesijärvi and Lake Päijänne, the second largest lake in the country. The lakes are connected by a 1.3 km long channel. We took a walk in the area around the channel lock. Some photos below.
