We in Vojvodina are famous for pumpkins like Ludaja ( Crazy) and Tamburica (Tambourine).
In our household we sow Tambourine every year.
I love it because of its sweet taste and easy preparation.
When ripe, they can be eaten fresh.
And you can make pies, stews, soups, juices and jams from Tambourine.
And I heard they also made a liqueur, i haven't tried that yet.
Here in Vojvodina, since we live in the plains, we often say
You stand on a crazy (ludaja), grab a corn cob (tulaja) and see Kekinda in front of you
,,Stanes na Ludaju uhvatis se za Tulaju i vidis celu Kekindu ,,
Kikinda is one of the larger cities.
I will have to try to have a good harvest tambourine this year . It struggled a bit because of the weather and now it's too hot and dry.They started to bloom.I planted one part in April along with the corn. And the other part a little later.
Since I have extra space in the garden.
Since I harvested onions, peas and green beans, I was thinking about what I could plant there.
I think this would be a great place to plant a pumpkin Crazy.
And I'll probably add another type of pumpkin.
Because I took this world championship seriously :)
