One of the things that worries most when suffering from anxiety are those negative thoughts that have to do with the fear of losing control of our own will and doing something we do not want to do, they are also known as impulse phobias.
The fear of losing comes almost always hand in hand with the negative thoughts that anxiety produces and it is one of its symptoms, I mean fears like that we can hurt someone or that we can hurt ourselves, to do something against of our own will, is something that usually appears in some people when they suffer from anxiety and can limit them a lot.
The first thing that can be done before this is to understand the reason of this problem, there is a phrase that says what you resist persists, or in other words, the more we reject something consciously the more intensified unconsciously, not we are computers that can delete a file to the recycling bin, our mind works in a more complex way, with the thoughts it happens exactly the same, we can not take a thought that is bothering us and forget about that, it is more the more we focus on that thought disappears, at an unconscious level we will be feeding it.
Perhaps you can believe that it is inevitable to remove these thoughts from the head, and it is true that it is not easy and fast, but what we have to do is work on anxiety, we should not focus on that thought, nor on the symptoms that we can even to be having, we must accept knowing that they are there and that they are part of the anxiety process that we are suffering, and that if we are following a therapy or we are in the hands of the right person it is a matter of time that those thoughts, those symptoms, those fears disappear completely, then the longer we advance with our therapy, if this is effective we will see positive changes, it is a matter of time, in some cases it is slower than in others, but it is the correct method and the important thing is to achieve the goal of overcome anxiety.
