Aprovechando los recursos que me quedan de mis costuras, hoy quiero compartir con ustedes la idea para hacer un sobre multiusos en Tila, en mi caso lo quiero para guardar esos documentos que no son tan importantes, pero que para nosotros si tienen valor sentimental, como por ejemplo los boletines de mis hijos, facturas de electrodomésticos, entre otros, así que acompáñame y te comparto el paso a paso:

Making use of my leftover sewing supplies, today I want to share with you an idea for making a multipurpose fabric envelope. I want to use it to store documents that aren't essential, but that have sentimental value, like my children's report cards, appliance receipts, and other things. So join me and I'll share the step-by-step instructions:

Los boletines escolares son ese tipo de documentos que en lo personal me da mucho sentimiento tirarlos a la basura, así que prefiero guardarlos, ya que cuando pasa el tiempo y los reviso me da mucha alegría saber que mis hijos han avanzado bastante, en los boletines siempre guardan esas cosas que los maestros opinan sobre nuestros hijos, y que a veces olvidamos, también me gusta guardar las facturas de los electrodomésticos mientras los tenga activos en mi hogar, así como otros documentos que no son tan importantes, pero que si deseamos tenerlos a la mano, es por esto que quise idearme un sobre en tela para que estén organizados, y que al mismo tiempo no me ocupen tanto espacio, entonces manos a la obra, aquí les dejo la lista de materiales a utilizar :

• Telas de su preferencia, en mi caso, voy a usar Dacron Unicolor y una tela estampada que tenía guardada
• Entre- tela o perlon
• Tijeras
• Cinta métrica
• Plancha
• Máquina de coser, este tipo de manualidad se puede coser también a mano, ya que es bastante sencilla

School report cards are the kind of documents that I personally find hard to throw away, so I prefer to keep them. When time passes and I look through them, it brings me so much joy to see how much my children have progressed. Report cards always contain those comments the teachers make about our children, which we sometimes forget. I also like to keep receipts for appliances while I still have them at home, as well as other documents that aren't as important but that we want to have on hand. That's why I wanted to design a fabric envelope to keep them organized and not take up too much space. So, let's get started! Here's the list of materials you'll need:

• Fabrics of your choice. In my case, I'm going to use solid-color Dacron and a patterned fabric I had on hand.
• Interfacing or perlon
• Scissors
• Measuring tape
• Iron
• Sewing machine. This type of craft can also be sewn by hand, as it's quite simple.

Para las medidas, voy a guiarme con uno de los boletines de uno de mis hijos, lo colocaré sobre mi tela y esta la doblaré a la mitad para saber el ancho del que haré mi sobre, me quedó un aproximado de 60 cm de largo esto lo dividiremos a la mitad y la mitad la cortaremos de 30 cm de alto y la otra de 22 cm, este sobresaliente es para hacerle la pestaña al sobre.

Luego cortaremos el entretela, esto es para que el sobre quede más firme y no se doble con facilidad, me gusta mucho usar este material para colocarlo entre las telas cuando quiero que estas me queden más rígidas, el entretela que tengo en casa tiene pega, así que puedes plancharlo sobre tu tela y éste se adherirá fácilmente, cortamos la segunda tela y así tendremos las tres piezas, una tela para el forro una para el exterior y él entretela

For the measurements, I'm going to use one of my children's report cards as a guide. I'll place it on my fabric and fold it in half to determine the width of my envelope. It came out to approximately 60 cm long. I'll divide this in half, cutting one half to 30 cm high and the other to 22 cm. This extra fabric is for the envelope's flap.

Next, we'll cut the interfacing. This is to make the envelope sturdier and prevent it from bending easily. I really like using this material between fabrics when I want them to be more rigid. The interfacing I have at home is self-adhesive, so you can iron it onto your fabric and it will adhere easily. We'll cut the second piece of fabric, and now we have three pieces: one for the lining, one for the exterior, and the interfacing.

Para el siguiente paso vamos con las costuras, lo principal que haremos es planchar el entretela a la tela que va por el lado exterior, luego vamos a unir por toda la orilla superior con costura, en la pestaña calculemos que nos quede igual de ambos extremos, a ésta le hice costura diagonal en las esquinas, luego cortamos todos los excedentes, luego vamos a unir con costura por los lados, aquí vamos a tener cuidado de no cocer la pestaña, pasamos una costura uniendo la tela del forro seguida de la tela exterior

For the next step, we'll work on the seams. First, we'll iron the interfacing onto the outer fabric. Then, we'll sew along the entire top edge, making sure the seam allowance is even on both sides. I added diagonal stitching at the corners. Next, we'll trim off any excess fabric. Then, we'll sew along the sides, being careful not to sew the seam allowance itself. We'll sew a seam joining the lining fabric followed by the outer fabric.

Cortamos todos los excedentes y luego volteamos la tela para luego pasar costura en la parte inferior por el lado de adentro, aseguramos bien la costura y luego volteamos por el lado derecho y así ya está listo este fácil y práctico sobre para guardar documentos o lo que desees, espero les haya gustado esta idea

We cut off all the excess fabric and then turn it inside out. Next, we sew along the bottom edge on the inside, securing the seam well. Then we turn it right side out, and there you have it—this easy and practical envelope for storing documents or whatever you like. I hope you enjoyed this idea!

I really loved this idea for organizing my documents or papers that I think need to be kept.
