Una cabeza va rodando,
sola y sin un cuerpo cercano
cuando pasa por unos palos,
algo la toma, sin dudarlo
y trata de llevarla a otro lado.
Un cuerpo ha encontrado la cabeza
y se acomoda entre esta,
ahora es una entidad completa
y camina con certeza,
sin miedo de lo que venga.
A head rolls along,
alone and with no body nearby,
when it passes some sticks,
something grabs it, without hesitation,
and tries to carry it elsewhere.
A body has found the head
and settles in between it,
now it is a complete being
and walks with confidence,
without fear of what may come.
Este ser camina hasta una vivienda
donde unas hojas escritas esperan,
se acerca a ellas
y las observa,
cómo si intentará leerlas.
Él toma una hoja
y entre ella se acomoda,
le abre agujeros de sobra,
pone sus manos y la cabeza graciosa
y se marcha con su apariencia pomposa.
This being walks up to a house
where some written pages lie waiting,
approaches them
and studies them,
as if trying to read them.
He takes a page
and settles himself within it,
tears plenty of holes in it,
places his hands and head inside it in a comical manner,
and walks away with a pompous air.
Llega a la calle
y camina sin dificultades,
se sienta a esperar, sin afanes

y se eleva con esta por los aires.

He steps out onto the street
and walks without a care,
sits down to wait, without a worry,
until a pleasant breeze comes along
and carries him up into the air.

with the wind’s help,
