Last summer was probably the best I remember. I spent a beautiful week in Thassos.
Thassos is the northernmost greece island of Aegean Sea. About 16 thousands people live here. It is also one of the most popular holiday destionation in the country. It is known for its sand beaches and clear turquoise water, but also for olive oil of a high quality.
Some people love mountains, monuments, old cities, and so on. Spending days on the beach and in the sea is the best holiday for me. And also with great food...
If you also enjoy sand beaches, beautiful nature and you want a holiday in average price, this is the right place for you. If you are an artist or you don´t want to just lie on the beach doing nothing, you can take a sketchbook with you. You need only a a pencil, razor and a rubber. There are so many things to draw around you.
You can draw people around you. Most of them just relax and don´t move, so they are perfect do draw.
Or maybe some distant island...
You can find shells around and try to catch them on the paper.

And people around are just in swimwear, so you can also do figurative drawing.
It is a nice place to practice drawing, and some kind of equivalent of photos. You can have some unique reminder of your holiday :)
