The signs of spring we have been seeing where temporarily hidden this morning with a random snow shower. We really don't get snow in March so the weather was quite unexpected but very welcome. We haven't had much snow this year and I greatly missed seeing the white stuff covering the yard. When it started snowing in the middle of the night I was excited because I wanted to see all the spring flowers surrounded by snow to see all the wonderful colors.
Sadly, it only snowed a bit and the warmth of the sun melted it all away early in the day. The mountain in front of us got the most snow while the sections of mountain in our yard only had patches that got enough snow to not melt quickly. These pictures all were taken in the morning before the sun came out and melted everything in these pictures has melted by now.

The Daffodils
We have a lot of daffodils popping up this year. They haven't bloomed full flowers yet but I'm seeing the first signs of yellow flowers appearing. The temperature got cold again so their growth also slowed down. I expect fairly soon, weather permitting, we'll have lots of daffodils along the mountainside. We didn't have any last year so seeing so many pop up is unexpected.
Our Mountainside of Purple Flowers
I'm loving all the purple flowers. There are thousands of them all over the mountain. We have an ivy the covers the ground of the sides of the mountain around our driveway. The purple flowers are from the ivy so they are plentiful. After a winter of staring at dull browns and greens, it was a shock to wake up one morning to see so much purple everywhere.
Cropped Close-Up
I'm sad to see the snow come and go so quickly but I really appreciated getting another snow. Mostly likely it will be the last of the season for us unless the weather decides to do some funky stuff which has been normal this year. The purple flowers covered in snow was a lovely sight to see and I enjoyed going on a walk to see the flowers.
