Caracas tiene mucho para ofrecer y entre su diversidad cultural, fachadas coloridas y edificaciones que entremezclan lo actual con lo colonial se oculta gran parte de nuestra historia. Una historia que nos representa como caraqueños y que nos ha conducido a lo que somos hoy en día.
Recorrer el Casco Histórico de la Ciudad es simplemente teletransportarte a otra época que te hace pensar en ¿cómo habrá sido la Caracas de hace 100 años? o incluso, ¿cómo habrá sido la Caracas recién fundada? A veces me gustaría viajar al pasado y vivir un instante en la Caracas Colonial, en la famosa Caracas de los Techos Rojos.
Pero como la Ciencia aún no nos dice como poder construir un DeLorean como en Volver al Futuro para viajar unos cuantos años hacia el pasado, nos toca continuar recorriendo el casco histórico mientras observamos aquellas falladas de arquitectura colonial y caminerías empedradas para continuar fantaseando con la idea de cómo era Caracas hace muchos años atrás.
Desde este pequeño rincón de la ciudad, yo continuo festejando el aniversario de Caracas fotografiando cada esquina hermosa que ella posee y compartiéndolas con aquellos que se topan con mi Blog.
Caracas has a lot to offer and among its cultural diversity, colorful facades and buildings that mix the modern with the colonial, a great part of our history is hidden. A history that represents us as caraqueños and that has led us to what we are today.
Walking through the historic center of the city is simply teleporting you to another era that makes you think about what Caracas must have been like 100 years ago, or even, what the newly founded Caracas must have been like? Sometimes I would like to travel back in time and live for a moment in Colonial Caracas, in the famous Caracas de los Techos Rojos (Caracas of the Red Roofs).
But as Science still doesn't tell us how to build a DeLorean like in Back to the Future to travel a few years into the past, we have to continue touring the historic center while we observe those colonial architecture faults and cobblestone walkways to continue fantasizing with the idea of what Caracas was like many years ago.
From this little corner of the city, I continue to celebrate the anniversary of Caracas by photographing every beautiful corner of the city and sharing it with those who stumble upon my Blog.
