Tener Momentos Foodie en compañía de tus amistades es algo que, simplemente, no tiene comparación. Hay veces en que quedó con mis amigos en ir a comer un tipo de comida en particular mientras que en otras oportunidades cada quien elige comer algo totalmente diferente y eso es algo que me encanta, pues nadie piensa de la misma manera y ahí es donde nos damos cuenta del gusto en particular que cada quien posee.
Hace unos días fui a la feria del nuevo Centro Comercial Sambil La Candelaria en la ciudad de Caracas en compañía de dos amistades. Personalmente, quedé enamorada de esta feria de comida porque es completamente distinta a las típicas ferias aburridas de los centros comerciales, incluso en este centro comercial no se le conoce como "feria de comida", sino como Zona Gourmet. Sin duda, un nombre mucho más aesthetic y que le da incluso un aire completamente diferente.
Dado que el centro comercial tiene muy poco tiempo de haber sido inaugurado, la variedad en su gastronomía está un poco reducida y aún quedan muchos espacios en dónde puede leerse claramente: Apertura: próximamente. Algunos de los locales que ya brindan su atención son los mismos que pueden encontrarse en otros centros comerciales sólo que con una propuesta estética un tanto diferente, mientras que otros son completamente nuevos. Ese día que fui con mis amigas nos tomamos el tiempo de recorrer cada local hasta encontrar algo que a cada una realmente le llamara la atención. Una de mis amigas optó por algo saludable como lo fue una pechuga de pollo al grill con ensalada, yuca y bebida por un costo de $8, mientras que otra de nosotras optó por una hamburguesa de pollo crispy con un súper extra de tocineta y salsa BBQ...realmente esa hamburguesa lucía increíble.
Las opciones de mis amigas eran bastante apetitosas, por un momento me vi tentada a pedir algo similar pero el sushi terminó ganando la batalla. Mi opción estuvo espectacular, el topping de queso crema con trocitos de cangrejo muy crujiente y una salsa de ostras espesa fue todo un deleite para el paladar.
Having Foodie Moments in the company of your friends is something that simply cannot be compared. There are times when I go with my friends to eat a particular type of food while at other times everyone chooses to eat something totally different and that's something I love, because no one thinks the same way and that's where we realize the particular taste that everyone has.
A few days ago I went to the fair at the new shopping center Sambil La Candelaria in the city of Caracas in the company of two friends. Personally, I fell in love with this food fair because it is completely different from the typical boring fairs of the malls, even in this mall it is not known as "food fair", but as Zona Gourmet. Undoubtedly, a much more aesthetic name that even gives it a completely different feel.
Since the mall has only been open for a short time, the variety of its gastronomy is a little reduced and there are still many spaces where you can clearly read: Opening: coming soon**_. Some of the stores that already offer their services are the same ones that can be found in other malls, but with a slightly different aesthetic proposal, while others are completely new. That day I went with my friends and I took the time to go through each store until we found something that really caught each one's attention. One of my friends opted for something healthy like a grilled chicken breast with salad, yucca and drink for $8, while another one of us opted for a crispy chicken burger with extra bacon and BBQ sauce...that burger really looked amazing.
My friends' choices were quite appetizing, for a moment I was tempted to order something similar but the sushi ended up winning the battle. My choice was spectacular, the cream cheese topping with crunchy crab pieces and a thick oyster sauce was a delight to the palate.
