It never ceases to amaze me what I can find at my local coin shop. People are just giving up on Precious Metals and dumping real Money (Gold and Silver) for shit fiat paper. It also never ceases to amaze me that I go into said local coin shop with a plan (yesterday was to just pick up a few 10oz bars and get out) and I end up with something other than what I plan to get. But I can't help but feel like I robbed the joint.
I just happen to live close to the Canadian border, so locally there is a lot of Canadian Silver floating around the coin shops here; but I have never seen this individually sealed mint packaging before from the Canadian mint and I thought I would share.
Most of the 50 coins I bought are from the late 80's and early 90's, sealed in their original mint packaging, never touched!!! There were also few stragglers that were just cool. Someone didn't want to give them a good home anymore so I thought I would adopt them for...$1.50 over spot!
Gold Maple Leaves?...yes please!
A few 2010 Olympic Hockey Specials
All in all...not a bad Saturday's haul!!! 50 more oz!!! Headed to deep, deep storage, I hope my kids put them to good use sometime!
