Do you feel weak?
Has life knocked you down?
Don't lose hope.
Your opportunity to rise up will come.
Don't miss it.
Peter and John were on their way to church. On the way, in front of the main doors, they saw a homeless guy who was begging. He looked up at Peter.
"Hey man, got any spare change?" The beggar held out his cup. "I've need enough to get me a walleye sandwich for lunch, and it's been a pretty tough week for me out here."
"Strength to Rise," 16" x 20", Acrylic on Canvas, 2017 by Matt Philleo
"Give a man to fish, feed him for a day, right?" This was a day to do more than just that. This was a day for change in this man's life. Permanent change.
But Peter said to him, “I have no money at all, but I give you what I have: in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth I order you to get up and walk!” Then he took him by his right hand and helped him up. At once the man's feet and ankles became strong; he jumped up, stood on his feet, and started walking around. Then he went into the Temple with them, walking and jumping and praising God. --Acts 3:6-8
Here was a man who was lame from birth. He couldn't walk. Money was only a temporary solution. God knew the man needed to walk, and He would get glory out of healing him.
So, the right opportunity came. All the man had to do was reach out and his hand and trust. God would do the rest.
It's the same thing for you and me.
What do you need?
Reach out your hand and trust. God will be glorified, and you will be filled with joy!
