You have a good feeling about something. Then, you decided to go against those feelings, trying to justify them. After that, that something turn out to be really good, and you regretted that you failed to act.
Ever had that happen to you? I know I have.
Oh, and how about when you do act on those good feelings, and it turned out to be the right thing?
Yup, that happens too.
That good feeling, is your unconscious mind trying to tell you something. You see, while your conscious mind can only focus between 5 to 9 things at one time (some would argue it's like 3!), your unconscious mind filters none of the information around you.
That explains why it can give you those good, or gut, feelings. It's essentially a computer with a million sensors, processing those info to help you make better decisions.
So the next time you're standing on the ledge, trying to figure out if you want to go ahead and try something new, or to hold back and be cautious, calm your thoughts, put your palm to your stomach, and ask yourself,
What does my good feeling say?
Could you be wrong? Sure, but since your conscious mind has already factored in both pros and cons, and you're 50-50 on it. Just let that good feeling push you into action.
After all, if you can't trust yourself, why can you trust, huh?
Mini Motivation is my own daily strategy to inspire myself. Mostly 3 minute reads.
From Motivation, we gain Inspiration. From Inspiration, we achieve Momentum. And the rest, they say, is history.
Hope it helps nudge you a bit too in the right direction.
Oh it did? Let me know in the comments, and of course an upvote would be a nice motivation for me. :)
Stay awesome!
Wait, why's Mav posting on Steemit nowadays?
Well, unlike other blogging and social media platform, Steemit is the only platform that allows me to earn cryptocurrency when I engage with it. Yup, one Steem is about USD7, and you, too, can earn Steem Dollars every time you:
- Create content (articles, blog posts, podcasts, videos, photos)
- Upvote (like) other people contents
- Comment on other people's posts
- Have discussions, share opinions etc!
Yup, basically it's the very same thing you're doing on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc all along!
The only difference? For once you can earn a nice income on the side!
Sign up for a free Steemit account, and you can thank me by coming back and upvoting this article. And guess what, you will earn Steem too for doing that! #awesome
