For those who are unaware the free Hive game Rising Star had made some updates in the game play that effected how one can play the Starbits Millionaire mission. In short players who lack enough Fan cards were no longer able to partake in the mission. I have not played the mission since the new rules were instated and did not know how to get enough Fan cards.
Luckily my friend came up with a strategy to obtaining enough Fan cards and he wrote a great post:
@libertycrypto27/my-road-to-322k-fans-completed-with-a-nice-and-final-surprise-engita
With his recommendation I too follow his strategy and this post is documenting every step towards my goal of getting to 50,400 fans.
First off I have been playing Rising Stars close to two years and have amassed a decent size of card collection and stats. Therefore in order to use libertycrpto27's strategy my Ego was 0%.

I currently have 1666 cards and a total of 18,677 fans but a skill of 215,265. I have done hundreds of music lessons to stake up the permanent skills. I recommend others to do the same if they want to maintain a low Ego.
So rough math here is that I need around 33,000 fans in order to get to 50,400 and be able to play the millionaire mission. The plan now is to spend my Starbit reserve on packs and see what cards I can pull. I have currently 1.38 million Starbits combined from my hive-engine and in game.

Here I will plan to obtain 12 packs for 100k starbits as many times as I can to obtain as many fans as I can meanwhile sell the cards that do not hold any fans.
First 12 Packs

Some of the cards I received and there was one epic. In total I picked up 1475 fans and plenty of luck only cards.
Second 12 packs opening

My second round of packs I got 1055 fans with zero epics but two seasonal cards.
Round 3 of packs

Worse pull yet with 610 fans for these 12 packs. No cards beyond the standard rares.
At this point in time having spent 300k Starbits and got a respectable 3600ish fans I what to do a quick math comparison as if I were to buy fans individual on the open market.
Over at rsgfam.com I can check lowest price per a fan and multiple that with 3600.

At the time of this post 61 starbits per a fan is the lowest price. That equates to 219,600 starbits. If I had included all the cards I pulled that only had luck it would mean buying the packs and opening them were yielding me more than if I bought the fans directly on open market. Thanks
Now I am at:

Fourth set of pack openings

This set I got another seasonal card and epic but the epic was instrument. I ended with 950 fans.
Fifth set of cards pulled

This is the best set yet with 1410 fans but did not pull any epics. The best card was a rare Beach Buggy with it alone 400 fans.
Sixth set of packs opening

With the highest fans earned in last set this latest one is the least fans earned. I got about 760 fans from this set.
Now I am at:

Having spent 600k Starbits and not even have half the fans to 50,400 I will start to sell off my cards that I do not have any fans in and see if I can stack Starbits to buy more packs.
I will end this post here and stay tune for my next post on my road to being a Rising Star Millionaire again....
