A todos nos ha costado entender esta situación, alejarnos de nuestros trabajos y actividades presenciales, ha sido un golpe duro, las actividades recreativas hoy son nulas, fiestas, reuniones familiares o ir a comer un helado, hoy no es posible.
Los más afectados en esta situación, son los niños y adolescentes, sin tener la madurez de entender lo que sucede, fueron encerrados en una burbuja, apartados de esa libertad que nos caracteriza a esa edad.
The pandemic has made our lives change, our daily chores were truncated with a new reality, human contact and relationships are different today, we had to close ourselves off and move away from interpersonal relationships in an abrupt way.
It has been hard for all of us to understand this situation, moving away from our jobs and face-to-face activities has been a hard blow, recreational activities are now null and void, parties, family gatherings or going for an ice cream is no longer possible.
The most affected in this situation are children and adolescents, without having the maturity to understand what is happening, they were locked in a bubble, separated from the freedom that characterises us at that age.

Mis hijas no fueron la excepción, una de 11 y otra de 14, reclamaban a diario salir con sus amigos, ir al parque o simplemente visitar a sus abuelos, entre explicaciones cotidianas entendieron lo devastador de la pandemia y aunque no fue fácil aceptaron y entendieron, que debíamos confinarnos.
Entre conversaciones familiares, fui buscando actividades recreacionales para las niñas, que fueran acordes al estado de cuarentena, más sin embargo les permitiera tener relaciones y distracciones relativas.
Así fue como llegamos a los Scouts, un movimiento infantil y juvenil excepcional, con base en la enseñanza al aire libre, valores humanos y al servicio comunitario, fue la alternativa ideal de recreación de mis hijas.
Adecuándose a la realidad pandémica, los scouts no pararon sus actividades, cada fin de semana enviaban retos para ser realizados en casa, desde realiza tu mejor dibujo, quien lava los platos del almuerzo más rápido y aprende a lavar tu ropa, hicieron de las actividades del hogar un juego.

My daughters were no exception, one 11 and the other 14, demanded daily to go out with their friends, go to the park or simply visit their grandparents, between daily explanations they understood how devastating the pandemic was and although it was not easy, they accepted and understood that we had to confine ourselves.
Between family conversations, I looked for recreational activities for the girls that were in keeping with the state of quarantine, but still allowed them to have relationships and relative distractions.
That's how we came to the Scouts, an exceptional children's and youth movement, based on outdoor learning, human values and community service, was the ideal recreational alternative for my daughters.
Adapting to the pandemic reality, the scouts did not stop their activities, every weekend they sent challenges to be done at home, from drawing your best picture, who washes the lunch dishes the fastest and learns how to wash your clothes, they made a game out of household activities.
Trivias, cocina, lee un artículo, ve una película, siembra en tu ventana, aprende nudos, has sentadillas, hagamos obras de arte, fueron entre muchas de las actividades que hicieron que mis hijas, se distrajeran, los scouts fueron su actividad favorita.
Hoy con la flexibilización del claustro, cada dos fines de semana, tienen actividades al aire libre, entre patrullas y juegos les inculcan valores y el arte de servir al prójimo.
Y así fue, como este fin de semana tuvieron su juramentación, hoy son formalmente son niñas exploradoras, felices de ayudar a la comunidad y de aprender cada día más, los valores éticos y morales del vivir.
Trivia, cooking, read an article, watch a movie, plant in your window, learn knots, do squats, make artwork, were among many of the activities that kept my daughters distracted, scouts were their favourite activity.
Nowadays, with the flexibility of the school, every two weekends, they have outdoor activities, between patrols and games, they instil values and the art of serving others.
And so it was that this weekend they were sworn in, today they are formally Girl Scouts, happy to help the community and to learn more and more every day, the ethical and moral values of living.
