Y es que el nacimiento de un bebe siempre es motivo de alegría ciertamente y a nosotros nos tocó recibir a dos bebitas en menos de dos meses.👧👧

La primera en nacer fué mi segunda hija, Ivanna Sofía, el 27 ella cumplio sus dos meses de vida. Y la otra princesa pequeña de la familia es mi sobrina, Antonella Sofía, nació el 24 de este mes tiene hoy 8 dias de nacida.

The birth of a baby is always a reason to rejoice, and we had to welcome two babies in less than two months 👧👧.

The first to be born was my second daughter, Ivanna Sofia, on the 27th she turned two months old. And the other little princess of the family is my niece, Antonella Sofia, she was born on the 24th of this month, she is 8 days old today.

Pasa que Anto desde el principio del embarazo fue todo un misterio, la prueba de sangre salió positiva, ¡Que emoción! mi hermana y yo, embarazadas al mismo tiempo. 🤰🤰

Al mi hermana saber de su estado, lo primero que hizo fue ir al ginecólogo para saber como estaba su bebé, resultó que en el ecosonograma no aparecía ningun bebe, ¿Qué paso si la prueba salió positiva?. 🤔 La mandaron a hacerse par de pruebas mas, seguian saliendo positivas, llegamos a pensar en un embarazo ectópico (para las personas que no saben que es, es un embarazo en el que el óvulo fertilizado se implanta fuera del útero y y si se deja crecer puede hacer daño en algunos órganos y pudiera ocasionar un gran sangrado que puede ser incluso mortal, fué lo que nos explicaron los medicos). Era preocupante porque varias semanas despues, seguía sin verse nada mediante las ecografías, hasta que al fin, un día apareció la pelotica, la edad gestacional era de 7 semanas y 4 dias, desde entonces yo le digo "mi gasparina" (como gasparín el fantasmita amistoso). ¡Al fin se dejó ver! 👻

It happens that Anto was a mystery from the beginning of the pregnancy, the blood test came out positive, what a thrill! my sister and I, pregnant at the same time. 🤰🤰

When my sister found out about her condition, the first thing she did was to go to the gynecologist to find out how her baby was doing, it turned out that the echosonogram did not show any baby. 🤔 They sent her for a couple of more tests, they were still positive, we came to think of an ectopic pregnancy (for people who do not know what it is, it is a pregnancy in which the fertilized egg is implanted outside the uterus and if left to grow can damage some organs and could cause heavy bleeding that can even be fatal, was what the doctors explained to us). It was worrying because several weeks later, still nothing was seen by ultrasound, until finally, one day the pellet appeared, the gestational age was 7 weeks and 4 days, since then I call it "my gasparin" (as Gasparin the friendly little ghost). At last it was seen!👻

Ya oficialmente eramos dos las embarazadas de la familia. En el hospital nos pusimos en control ambas, yo con mi futura cesarea y ella con su futuro parto, no quería para nada una cesarea. Nos dieron fecha para finales de enero a mi y finales de abril a ella respectivamente.

Con mi embarazo, aparte de los comunes malestares no hubo ninguna otra complicación, y pues con la cesarea ocurrio igual, gracias a Dios todo estuvo bien en mi caso.

We were now officially two pregnant women in the family. At the hospital we were both in control, me with my future cesarean and her with her future delivery, she did not want a cesarean at all. We were scheduled for the end of January for me and the end of April for her respectively.

With my pregnancy, apart from the common discomforts, there were no other complications, and with the cesarean section it was the same, thank God everything went well in my case.

El embarazo de mi hermana fué incluso mas tranquilo que el mio, ella estuvo super activa, todo iba perfecto, pero un día empezaron a hincharse sus pies muchísimo. Viendo lo hinchado de sus pies, le dijimos a su esposo que estuviera pendiente de la tensión arterial de ella por si acaso, aunque ella no habia sentido ningun malestar pero uno nunca sabe.

Al siguiente día, en la noche, a mi hermana le dió un dolorcito de cabeza y tenia los pies muy hinchados nuevamente, mi cuñado en ese momento decidió tomarle la tensión como les recomendamos y resultó tenerla en 140-110, un resultado demasiado alto para los niveles normales y sobretodo en una embarazada, le avisaron a mi mama y ella llamó al ginecólogo, el cual les dijo que se fueran de emergencia al hospital, era muy peligroso para ella. Esa noche empezó nuestra preocupación. Estuvieron controlando su tensión con pastillas por esa semana, cumpliendo con todas las recomendaciones dadas en el hospital.

My sister's pregnancy was even calmer than mine, she was super active, everything was going perfect, but one day her feet started to swell a lot. Seeing how swollen her feet were, we told her husband to keep an eye on her blood pressure just in case, although she had not felt any discomfort but you never know.

The next day, at night, my sister had a headache and her feet were very swollen again, my brother-in-law decided to take her blood pressure as we recommended and it was 140-110, a result too high for normal levels and especially for a pregnant woman, they told my mother and she called the gynecologist, who told them to go to the hospital as an emergency, it was very dangerous for her. That night our concern began. They were controlling her blood pressure with pills for that week, complying with all the recommendations given at the hospital.

El miercoles siguiente tenia consulta con su medico, la tension no cedía, bajaba con las pastillas pero no se mantenía estable. La mandaron a hospitalizar, mi hermana estaba presentando la llamada preclampsia, Estaba en riesgo su vida y la de su bebe y apenas tenia 34 semanas de embarazo, en el hospital le dieron dos opciones, una era interrumpir el embarazo de una vez para no correr tanto riesgo, pero no garantizaban la vida de mi gasparina, la otra era ponerse en control con un especialista materno fetal, que intentara llevar con tratamientos el embarazo minimo a las 37 semanas.

Ella optó por la segunda opcion, yo tambien lo hubiese hecho. En esas estuvo durante una semana mas, entre estudios, examenes de todo tipo y tratamientos para darle crecimiento a la bebe porque estaba muy baja de peso, la tensión alta le interrumpió su crecimiento normal.

The following Wednesday she had a consultation with her doctor, her blood pressure was not going down, it was going down with the pills but it was not stable. They sent her to the hospital, my sister was presenting the so-called preeclampsia, her life and her baby's life was at risk and she was only 34 weeks pregnant, in the hospital they gave her two options, one was to interrupt the pregnancy at once to not run so much risk, but they did not guarantee the life of my gasparin, the other was to be in control with a maternal fetal specialist, who would try to take the pregnancy with treatments at least to 37 weeks.

She chose the second option, and I would have done the same. She was there for another week, between studies, tests of all kinds and treatments to give growth to the baby because she was very low in weight, high blood pressure interrupted her normal growth.

Llego el 24 de Marzo, ella debía ir a un control normal que tenia pautado, en ese momento le toman la tensión por simple rutina, ella se sentía bien, no presentaba ningun tipo de malestar, pero para su sorpresa, su tensión estaba en 160, definitivamente ya a sus 35 semanas no se podía esperar mas, llegó el momento que tanto temíamos, había que interrumpir el embarazo inmediatamente. 😓

Mi mamá me notifica la situación, mis nervios y mi temor estaban a tope, corria peligro la vida de mi hermanita, mi consentida, y ademas la de mi pequeña gasparina. En casa sin poder estar alla y saber con exactitud lo que pasaba, de manos atadas porque con mi hija de 5 años y mi bebe de 2meses no podía ir a ponerlas en riesgo en un hospital lleno de Covid.

March 24 arrived, she had to go to a normal control that she had scheduled, at that time they took her blood pressure as a simple routine, she felt fine, she did not have any discomfort, but to her surprise, her blood pressure was 160, definitely at 35 weeks she could not wait any longer, the moment we feared so much arrived, the pregnancy had to be terminated immediately. 😓

My mother notified me of the situation, my nerves and my fear were at their peak, the life of my little sister, my darling, and also that of my little Gasparina, was in danger. At home without being able to be there and know exactly what was happening, my hands tied because with my 5 year old daughter and my 2 month old baby I could not go and put them at risk in a hospital full of Covid.

Debia esperar en casa noticias, pasaban las horas y era mas desesperante. Hasta que a las 3:40pm me avisan que ya nació la bebe. ¡Gloria a Dios! ¡Que alegría! ¿Pero nació bien? ¿Mi hermana, estaba bien? Era horrible esa sensación de no saber nada concreto.

I had to wait at home for news, the hours went by and it was even more desperate. Then at 3:40pm they told me that the baby was born. Glory to God! What a joy! But was she born well? My sister, was she well? It was horrible that feeling of not knowing anything concrete.

Pasadas las horas supe que mi hermana estaba en observación y debía seguir alli por monitoreo de tensión y aplicándole tratamiento para controlarsela. Y la bebé nació pesando 1650grs, si 1kilo 650grs, es super pequeñita.

Increíblemente nació baja de peso pero solo eso, no presentó dificultad respiratoria como se temía, sin embargo, por seguridad la tenian aparte suministrándole tratamiento y en observación.

After a few hours I found out that my sister was under observation and had to remain there for blood pressure monitoring and treatment to control her blood pressure. And the baby was born weighing 1650grs, yes 1kilo 650grs, she is super tiny.

Incredibly, she was born underweight but only that, she did not present respiratory difficulty as feared, however, for safety reasons she was kept apart under observation and treatment.

Mi hermana pasó 2 dias en observación en sala de parto, no podía tener a la bebe con ella y luego un día en habitación ya recuperándose, de hecho a la bebe le dieron de alta primero que a ella. 💪🏼

En estos momentos están en casa, apenas ayer la conocí, por la condición de la bebe no es bueno estar recibiendo visitas y menos con la actual pandemia, entre otras cosas. 😷

My sister spent 2 days under observation in the delivery room, she could not have the baby with her and then one day in the room, she was recovering, in fact the baby was discharged before her. 💪🏼

At the moment they are at home, I just met her yesterday, because of the baby's condition it is not good to be receiving visitors and even less with the current pandemic, among other things.😷

Se esta alimentando de leche materna pero no en condiciones normales, le sugieren que la bebe no succione porque perdería calorias lo cual no es conveniente por su bajo peso, gracias a Dios, ella no deja de comer, se mantiene hidratada con su lechita y confiamos en Dios que progresivamente aumente su peso y ya podamos estar mas tranquilos con nuestro pequeño milagro. 🙏✨

She is feeding on breast milk but not in normal conditions, they suggest that the baby does not suck because she would lose calories which is not convenient for her low weight, thank God, she does not stop eating, she stays hydrated with her milk and we trust in God that she will progressively increase her weight and we can be calmer with our little miracle.🙏✨

Es una bendición en nuestras vidas y agradecemos a Dios que permitió que todo saliera bien y continúe transcurriendo de esa misma manera. ✨
