And the name is…
5th anniversary Neapolitan salty chocolate ’n pistachio ’n banana ‘n hazelnut biscotti imperial stout

And yes… beer bastards may be gypsy brewers but definitely know how to make experimental beers seem like something easy to make. And their beers are always great and enjoyable at a great extent. This one was definitely very interesting and I was wondering if I would taste all these ingredients that are imported into this can.

The beer itself is a celebration beer for the 5th anniversary since the first beer bastards beer came to this world and as I remember back then it was a great success, although it was not brewed in a brewery of their own.

The beer is black in color and has very thick body, which is quite expectable for a beer that is 8,5% of alcohol content and I’m pretty sure that this beer has lactose addition just to make it seem like a fancy dessert.

The head is quite thick too and does a pretty good job in staying this for a long time. It is quite sticky too, but the overall beer is pretty sweet and sticky too.

I have to be honest that I didn’t really catch the bananas note, but all the other ingredients were pretty well distinguishable. The hazelnuts were adding a very unique nuttiness and they go interestingly nice with the dark imperial style beers. The beer itself cannot be drunk too fast thanks to its huge sweetness, but slowly and steadily you will surely enjoy it to the very last sip.
Overall, the black gold in the can represents very well the artwork on the can and you can really taste the dessert in the beer glass. The beer is interesting and I would definitely be happy to enjoy it again some time soon.

Bye for now, enjoy your Monday, have a good beer and stay calm! Life’s good 😉
