It looks like it is going to be a beautiful morning!
I can't even get off the front step without being greeted by the local wildlife. The house finches have been well tended by their parents in their nest atop the porch light. The other two babies have left the nest and it looks like this one is well on his way!
This chipmunk is waiting for me on the door mat, obviously hoping that it is my daughter coming out to bring him a handful of sunflower seeds. She calls this one Frank, because he lives in a hole with a rock at the entrance, giving his hole more architectural interest than the other chipmunk holes, so he is named after Frank Lloyd Wright. Did you know that each chipmunk has their own hole?
The Baltimore Orioles are hanging about close to the feeder.
And the cat bird is hovering close by waiting his turn.
It is so pretty out here this morning I can hardly get out of the driveway! The red bud tree is glorious and the bleeding heart is quite lovely today!
But the view at the end of the road looks lovely, too.
I stop to take a photo of this delightful little wood anemone blooming near the edge of the woods.
And the ferns and mayapples are looking fresh and green in the morning coolness.
You don't get very far when you stop every few feet to take photos!
Today is the last day this week to enter your Wall Shadow Photos-
