Dear HIVE: How are you doing, everyone? Nearly 4 weeks have elapsed since my operation. Today as of Monday, February 13, 2023. And I've been spending a lot of time at home resting.
After packing up some of my previously purchased books, I was keen to write my blog this time. I made this purchase on January, 2023, and this is what I got.
I like to purchase used or pre-owned books from Facebook Marketplace or Carousel applications. On Facebook, I discovered this treasure this time.
They are less expensive, which is one reason why I like them. Most significantly, the story's plot will remain unchanged; just the book's quality may not be quite attractive but I am okay with it as long it can be read.
Prescription for Nutritional Healing: The A-to-Z Guide to Supplements by Phyllis A. Balch
I purchased this book in the hopes that it would be useful because I am aware that I am getting older and suffering from various health issues. It is an extremely thorough book that covers just about any illness you could experience, from little issues to serious ones. Additionally, it offers a list of vitamins and/or herbs for each condition that may be helpful. It's a fascinating book that is also highly helpful for natural living and self-help.
The Fat and Cholesterol Counter by Karen J. Nolan & Jo-Ann Heslin
More than 10,000 foods, including your favourite restaurant menu items and brand names, have nutritional values listed in this book. This explains why the type of fat you consume may be more significant than your overall dietary intake. You get to learn how different types of fat and cholesterol should be consumed—what to eat more of, less of, and never at all.
Thick Face, Black Heart: The Asian Path to Thriving, Winning & Succeeding By Chin-Ning Chu
Extremely educational book on lies and how influence and power shift. This is a great book. It offers valuable advice on how to triumph rather than suffer. Everyone has made decisions in their lives that they later realized were terribly stupid or out of character, and reading this book makes you feel as though everyone is not flawless. Individuals who immediately accept their flaws and abilities and act morally in life succeed. People who constantly doubt themselves and waste time trying to figure out why they did something wrong wind up being victims because they don't learn from their mistakes.
Boundaries in Dating By Henry Cloud & John Townsend
This book was fantastic. This book served as a reminder of the value of healthy boundaries, the people I chose to date, how to handle disagreements, and the significance of your support system to you because you have experienced severely damaged relationships in the past. I believe it helped me get a lot of perspective and got me thinking about how I can improve not just in romantic relationships but in other aspects of life.
I'm Not Sick, Just A Bit Unwell by Yvonne Foong
Very inspiring and interesting story about a young girl with a serious disease. Despite a mountain of obstacles, her calmness astounds me. From her lifelong battle with Neurofibromatosis to being named the Most Outstanding Youth of 2005, Yvonne Foong's story is both engaging and extraordinary.
Who Writes This Crap? by Luke Wright & Joel Stickley
This book is a lot of fun to read. To pass the time and read collective email's, posting ads in newspapers, or even on television. Sometimes we don't think that every piece of writing is funny enough for us to accept. However, it is still possible that every media outlet will promote it. For me, this book is just for filling your free time if you want a fun story or casual.
Alternative Therapies by Geddes and Grosset
For someone like myself who enjoys practicing therapy on myself, this book is helpful. The many therapy methods are described in this book. There are many other types of therapy, such as acupuncture, the Alexander technique, chiropractic care, hydrotherapy, kinesiology, massage, osteopathy, and polarity therapy. I found this book to be very helpful and worthwhile to read.
Never Good Enough: How to use Perfectionism to Your Advantage Without Letting it Ruin Your Life by Monica Ramirez Basco
This book was straightforward, and as someone just coming to terms with perfectionism, I found it to be educational. The book is basic, so if you're trying to learn more about perfectionism in depth, you could find that other books or online resources are a better fit.
