Summer is one of our favorite seasons here in our little town of Mountain View, MO. Summer means fishing, camping, floating, and swimming! We are lucky to live no more than about 15 minutes away from so many beautiful access points on the Jack's Fork River!
Catch of the day
By some stroke of luck, some friends and I had the same days off in the middle of the week, so what to do? Impromptu camping trip!
Ukulele and a salt shaker? Who knows.... Haha.
These are all just unedited iPhone photos, so I snapped what I could. Camping is fun, but it's also a lot of work when you take the kids! And it's worth every bit of it to make these memories with them :)
There's getting ready to fillet some smallmouth bass!
I thought the kids would be disturbed to watch him cut the fish, but they were fascinated :)
Part of the view from our campsite. By the way the way, this property is on 's family's private land, so we were so lucky to have the place to ourselves!
's and my shoes. Part of the bank is covered in soft sand, so it's nice to walk around barefoot :)
Dinner time!
We keep books and board games in the camper, and the kids actually use them ;)
There's my brother , getting ready to play some tunes for us while we got the kids ready for bed.
doing a little fishing before sundown
