Last night I got to spend a couple hours playing music with a couple of my old buddies and I talked them into making an openmic video with me! I’ve known Jim and Dustin since we were kids and we even played in a couple bands together for several years back in the late 2000s and early 2010s. (Man, it feels weird to say that.)
I have to admit I was a little nervous about playing music with them after so many years, but after getting musically reacquainted, it was just like old times :) We played through some of our old covers and some originals too, but we decided to record a simple cover since we were a little budgeted for time. We just clamped my phone to a mic stand and did this in one take, and it was a lot of fun!
Jim and Dustin are both incredibly talented musicians and I hope that they will eventually decide to join the fun in the #openmic community!
