I love low mana fights.
I built a team which has an absurd high winning rate. If I had to guess I think this team wins 85ish percent of the fights. But this number is not representable by any means. Because this just applies for Bronze II fights and below.
At the end I show which team countered my awesome water splinter.
But it doesn't happen often.
If the mana available is 17 or below it's a lot of fun :)
My summoner is:
Because I don't do any magic damage it just makes sense to use him. At the same same it's a great counter to any magic damage deck.
My core monsters:
- Kelp Initiate first
- Furious Chicken second
- Axemaster third
With it's 5 speed Kelp Initiate let's the enemies monsters miss more often. Axemaster has 4 speed and does the first attack most of the time. It happens that he kills 2 monsters in one round. And that's what we look for.
Fast and furious. The Chicken is a great blocker. And a must have in any low mana fight. It can make the difference between a win and a loss. In the rare case Kelp Initiate dies before Axemaster wins the match the Furious Chicken gives the Axemaster 2 more hits in the beginning of the next round. Plus you just need any monster in front of Axemaster. Otherwise the game is lost because he can only attack from the second lane.
You can still win a lot of matches even with 2 more mana to spend.
Let's look at 3 other great options in low mana fights:
Creeping Ooze is part of many of my teams. But I feel like in low mana fights speed is more crucial. That's is why him. But Axemaster and Kelp Initiate are fast anyways so it is not a must.
If you have 1 Mana left then Albatross is a great choice. With it's flying ability it can dodge attacks. Which leads to more attacks by our Axemaster.
In fights with 16 or 17 Mana I like to use Pelacor Bandit. He hunts down other monsters with low max life in the last row. He has 3 speed which is 1 more than a lot of other monsters which also have the opportunity ability.
Plus he has 2 life and sometimes becomes useful as a blocker for our beloved Axemaster.
With this combo you will win many low mana fights in Bronze.
Here are some teams you need to be aware of:
