This past weekend, we visited another restaurant that I thought might interest our viewers. This time it was a floating restaurant barge in Branson, MO. Inside you can order and enjoy a number of fish varieties that are local to the Missouri and Arkansas Ozarks as well as some other varieties like Walleye from Canada!
The restaurant is very family friendly and kids will love the visit to this restaurant.
When you first walk into the restaurant, there is a gang plank with dozens of ducks swimming below. The kids will love that. Then you are greeted at the front gate with a giant fish tank holding rainbow trout, crappie and bluegill fish!
We visited the Fish House with another family and their children. Jaimie is sitting with some of the kids as we wait for our table. The table wait was very short but it's the off season right now.
The restaurant decor was most impressive and you just wanted to walk around and see it all. A few giant buffalo heads adorn the walls. Believe it or not, there are a number of buffalo ranchers in the Ozarks that grow these massive animals and sell them to restaurants. If you want to ensure an animal never goes extinct, start making a market for it for food for sale. Buffalo meat is renowned for being very healthy.
Over the bar sits a giant moose head. You can tell that the restaurant went to great lengths to go all out on decor that would fit and entertain the outdoorsman. In fact, there is a Bass Pro Shop just across the parking lot from the restaurant.
There is an amazing cozy fireplace in the restaurant that is very inviting because of the cold temperatures outside this winter.
And here we go, getting our table underneath a giant canoe. The service and food was great! If there was one complaint, it would have been that Jaimie thought that her Margarita was a little short on the Patron tequila. :)
The kids had a blast. They had plenty of kid options for families eating out. If fish is not your thing, they also had a number of chicken and steak options as well. The kids enjoyed feeding the ducks the most.
