Shakoy is a Filipino snack. It's a simple fried bread recipe. It's similar to home-made donuts only that it's twisted like a rope instead of rounded. It's made of dough and then deep-fried and rolled on white sugar to make it taste sweet. It's close to the taste of the popular brand of glazed donuts.
We just had shakoy for a snack earlier, this afternoon and it was nostalgic. It reminded me of my childhood, this was a popular snack that was peddled back in the day. This is so affordable, only 5pesos each which is 1/10th of a USD.
