Title: I'm a Queen and So Are You
This picture has been my phone screensaver for more than 2 years now. I saw this when I was on the onset of my struggle with kidney failure. When I had to leave all I had to face it. A terrible time. It was also the time that there was not a moment that I am not talking with God. I was in constant conversation with God in my head because people were starting to leave and turn their backs on me. This quote stirred me up.
Whenever I am down, I always tell myself, get up, look up, your father is the king of kings and he always sees you and will never leave you, so pray. Pray and he will hear you out. This quote empowered me. When I saw it, I told myself, if I am his child then I am a princess and in my life where I rule then I should be queen. Since then this has been a mantra to me, that a queen will always turn pain into power.
Besides, I see everything as flows of energy. Even pain is an energy, in fact, it is a powerful form of energy. And what does science have to say with energy?! It cannot be created nor destroyed but it can only be changed from one form to another. This is the first law of thermodynamics called energy conservation law. So pain can be made into something else. It can be made into something beautiful even.
In my head, my science and faith are together and one because I do not believe one has to oppose the other. In my head, is my command center. My body may be weak and beaten but my mind and my spirit are not and this my friends is the reason why the will I have is too strong and this is why I see pain differently. I have a rock, I have an anchor, I have my refuge. I will not cower and I will never fear.
