They are the newbies, the 2nd generation produced by the first amazing amaryllis I brought from Spain years ago. They used to be the side bulbs that poke out of the pots when I separated them from the mother bulb and planted them in a pot until they became bigger this season.
It took me three years for the bulbs to mature and this one here developed ahead of the others. The original amaryllis I brought along from Andalucia was huge and the blooms were around 5 for each stalk and when the first stalk died-off another one just came out with many flowers too.
We´re waiting for the rest of them to bloom, but I think the bulbs are way still small. This remains to be seen whether they will develop before Spring ends. It is interesting to note that the color that came out here is orange.... the one from Spain was more red than orange.
