There were pork meat left from a whole piece that I thawed yesterday and I couldn´t decide what to cook for today´s lunch. It´s like that in my kitchen more or less because I cook spontaneously and I do not plan my cooking. I look at what´s available in the fridge, then I decide what to cook.
It was a different story when I was still working, I used to have a marathon cooking on weekends and froze everything I cooked in portions for the following week. Oh my.... if I would think about how stressy my corporate job was and the little time I had back then, you won´t believe that in such limitations, I was even doing so many crafts and DIY projects to relieve me from the job stress.
Now that retirement is here, I have so little time to spare on crafting projects because I spent more time on crypto- currencies and blogging on steemit, LOL!
Here is the simple method of making the skewers
Simply cut the meat you have in strips , set it in the skewers alternating meat and veggies you like.. then brush soy sauce on all sides and let stand for 20 minutes... fry in a heavy hot skillet or pan with 2 tablespoons of oil about 2-3 minutes on all sides or until golden brown in color. Arrange in a platter and keep warm.
For the braised vegetable: In a pan with 2 tablespoons oil, stir-fry all steam veggies and sprinkle 1 tbsp soy sauce, add 1/2 cup broth or water and cook under low heat until the liquid evaporates. Season with salt and pepper or adjust the seasoning according to your taste..
Arrange the skewers in a plate , add the vegetables and cooked rice.
