One of the joys of being a missionary is when I can deliver some rice to families who really need a helping hand. These are hard working people in a country where things come hard at times.
This morning I was out delivering some rice, but also enjoying the people, meeting new friends and seeing the Beauty of Mindanao Philippines along the way.
My new friend Tom Tom
A very friendly little boy.
It was very early when I started out so I got to see the sunrise. This is a unique vantage point for sunrises as the sun reflects in the Iligan Bay allowing for some special effects for the photographer.
One place I was able to deliver some rice was this place called the Happy House. I believe throughout the entire organization they have around 300 mouths to feed. This location houses around 25 people, including foreign missionaries, single mothers with their children and a few local pastors. I try to bring them some rice every month.
My second delivery spot for the day. A family of 4 lives in this small place. No photos of the family or rice delivery as I am not out to embarrass people in any way.
After unloading 50 kilos of rice, I parked my bike and hiked some and enjoyed the incredible beauty of this mountainous area of Misamis Occidental.
A couple of shots from this location.
This young guy was passsing by when I was on my way down from the mountain top.
Then I went to one of my favorite serene places to pray.
Home in time for breakfast.
Thank you for visiting my blog!
God bless!
