Wow, can't tell ya how fitting today's quote is.
“In times of great stress or adversity, it's always best to keep busy,
to plow your anger and your energy into something positive.”
to plow your anger and your energy into something positive.”
So here we go lol.
This really works ya know.
How?
The basic idea is tied into the strangest secret again.
You get what you think about most of the time.
If you are upset or feeling a lot of negative emotions, regardless the reason, you are allowing yourself to focus on whatever the issue is.
By staying busy you guide your focus toward work or whatever you are busy with.
Source
The longer you can hold that focus the further away from whatever is troubling you you'll be.
It's best to do something that requires a lot of focus.
This way your thoughts are used up thinking of what you're doing instead of what is bothering you.
Now, I'm not saying to sweep the issue under the rug and pretend it isn't there.
I'm sure it will still be there once you've finished working.
All you are doing here is taking your mind away from the issue for a while to allow the mind to settle down.
If you allowed yourself to get all upset by it, you would just make it worse by attracting more and more of it.

When you focus on something else, those thoughts will fill the mind, allowing the thoughts of your issue to take a backseat.
The further away you can get from it the better.
Once you finish working you will not have as much negative energy toward the issue, it will seem lighter.
This can enable you to look at it with fresh eyes and often you will either find a simple solution or realize it was not as big of an issue as you thought it was.
Also, you did not waste all of your creative energy stewing all day and making matters so much worse.
Source
Instead you used that same time and creative energy to attract things into your life that are related with what you chose to focus on.
So if you are feeling frustrated or sad or whatever, find something positive to do.
Either something fun or something involving work, just make sure that it requires you to think.
This way your thoughts will be bringing you productive things instead of more trouble.
Remember,
“In times of great stress or adversity, it's always best to keep busy,
to plow your anger and your energy into something positive.”
to plow your anger and your energy into something positive.”
