Yesterday's adventure was to the amazing Wallace Falls at Wallace Falls State Park in the heart of Washington and waterfall country. and I are used to taking pretty long trips to get to the different falls, but we had a treat this time as it was only 12 miles away! When we got there, they had a self pay station to pay to park, but as always we just parked and went in, why should we have to pay for seeing nature in it's glory? Especially when they already use stolen money for these parks to begin with. But that is a story for another day.
This hike is about 4.8 round trip if you go all the way up to the Upper Falls, which we basically did, we just stopped a bit short as the view we got to we knew would be unbeatable and Hailey was getting tired and hungry. The walk up was pretty brutal as you have many steep inclines to get through, a great workout for sure!
We of course saw the amazing falls from the three location points at the Lower, Middle, and Upper falls. The middle was my favorite view hands down, but the hike to the top was well worth the view of the valley, mountains, river and falls. While at the middle, Hailey took her clothes off and we did a NSWF shoot that will be coming out shortly on her page, so stay tuned for that . There is nothing like capturing natural beauty in such amazing places!
We also saw cool bridges, tree trunks, trees growing in wild ways, the amazing valley floor, and much more! And scary yet humbling, there was a sign I did not photograph for some reason but it said that 3 people has already died just this year from crawling over the edge to get a more thrill seeking view like Hailey so often does. So that was a more serious moment on the hike.
The hike to Wallace Falls is an absolute must if you are in Washington, even with the intense uphill! Stay tuned for the video tomorrow.
