PORT STEPHENS HOLIDAY
I have just got back from my Holiday to Port Stephens, it was great to just take some time to relax after being busy.
Life is so much busier than what I remember from when I was a child. The last year just raced by as if time was on fast forward. Work and other commitments like Hive take up my days and leave me little to no time to relax. Going away and disconnecting for a week allowed me to relax and slow down.
Port Stephens is a great place to visit down on the coast of New South Wales. As you can see it has fine white sand beaches and crystal clear water. The beach in the photo above is called Shoal Bay beach.
The place that we stayed at backed onto Birubi Beach which has sand dunes in the beach . Standing in the middle of them you would be forgiven for thinking that you were in the desert. They were truly a marvel to be seen and walk upon. Our children loved them as well taking a walk upon them and sliding down them.
Above is a photo taken from Gan Gan lookout which has great views of the surrounding area.
This photo was taken from Tomaree Head of Shoal Bay. We compared it to a photo taken a few years ago and it had not changed much.
This last photo also taken from Tomaree Head is of the sand bank that can used to cross to Fingal Bay Island. It has some ruins on it and a Lighthouse that you can look at.
It is also known to be a good place to view whales from.
We had a great time away. I hope that you enjoyed the photos of our holiday.
Have a great day!
