If you ever visit Puerto Rico, you must go to "La Placita" in Rio Piedras, right across from University of Rio Piedras ( my alma mater) and 10 minutes away from Old San Juan. Its like a Farmers market, but much, much better!. Here you will find all kinds of local fruits and veggies also from the Caribbean and Central America. Herbs, spices, flowers, meats and fish can be found in "La Placita". Everything’s fresh. If you have build an appetite (trust me you will ..lol) you can eat here as well for a very reasonable price. Don't forget to try puertorrican cafe. ;)
