We never were able to have our own children but we had the opportunity to fostered a few and through this experience of being a parent it has shown me just a glimpse of how God sees us as his children:
- He likes me to tell Him my problems because He cares that I think enough to tell Him.
- He hurts when I do wrong because He only wants the best for me.
- He loves to give me good things.
- He would do anything for me if I would only ask.
- He is hurt when I cover things up, because it makes Him feel that He can’t handle the full truth or can’t be trusted.
- He loves it when I talk with Him.
- He cares enough to let me do stupid things just so that I would learn.
- He hates to punish me when I do something wrong but He will to help me grow.
- He always wants the best for me.
- He is hurt when I abandon Him or even just stop talking with Him.
- He might start out giving me big things and then if I fail then He will put restrictions on things until I learn to be responsible with the small things.
- He loves to hear me tell Him what is going on in my life even though He already knows.
- He loves it when I say thank you.
- He cares about the things that I care about.
- He won’t make me be apart of His Kingdom if I don’t want to be there.
- Developing character is more important than money.
- He is disappointed when I break a promise, but He still loves me.
- He loves me even when I fail.
I hope this touched you as it did me as I wrote them down when He showed me these things through the years.
Do you have any to add? I would love to hear your experiences.
God bless.
