A few weeks ago I was in Bath, England, on a business trip . When I went out for lunch with some colleagues, we passed through the Bath Guildhall Market. It was a real unexpected adventure. As soon as I walked in, the smell of English tradition was in the air. That was the inspiration for me to write my first post in the Market Friday Community.

The Guildhall Market is located in the very centre of Bath, right next to the River Avon, which runs through the city. It is in a stone building dating from the 18th century. You enter the market from one side of the street, then walk through it, and exit at the other side. There are about 20 different stalls inside. You can buy leather goods, books, food, and much more. The market is open from Monday to Saturday, between 08:00 and 17:30.

As soon as I walked in, I was fascinated by the interior architecture. You have the feeling that the whole building is standing on pillars that were made a long time ago.

That is the right place for book lovers since you can find second-hand books for £1. Really amazing. And the choice is very large.

For a complete reading experience, you can buy personalized leather book covers to protect your books from the ravages of time.

You will also come across a shop offering a variety of ceramics and postcards. Some of them are really beautiful.

And there it was, a stall that I couldn't pass without stopping in front of it and drooling. A huge selection of cheeses from all over the world. And how they were smelling good. Yummy.

The sweet is always at the end. After all that hard work 😀 exploring the market, you can have a proper English tea with typical English butter biscuits. A must try!

I hope you enjoyed walking with me through Bath Guildhall Market.
