Hello everyone!
It's been almost 5.5 months since I joined Steemit and even though I still consider myself as a newbie, I can say with certainty that I enjoy the ride very much so far.
Actually I joined Steemit during a period that the prices were really high and everyone was feeling great. You could feel it, in the comment section, on the number of posts...everywhere. It felt as if there was a breeze of joy.
But as more experienced investors and traders know better than me, the bull run that occurred during December and lasted till mid January wouldn't keep going forever...
And so it happened. And as the prices kept falling, this downfall that we are experiencing till today, also affected our psychology, which in my opinion is the most important thing as mentioned in his latest post.
And I think it is totally understandable...it is human nature after all.
I can only speak for myself and to be honest, I like every little part of this platform. The engagement, the efforts, the rewards, I literally mean everything. Of course, like in every other platform there are still many flaws that need to be fixed, but hey... "Rome wasn't built in one day" right? Because that is the potential this platform has. To be the greatest of all time. The technology is there...it is revolutionary and it is one of the best around. The rest is up to us.
It is safe to say that after we reached the 1mil users mark, we have a sample of users that represent the real life, the real society. The real world. So attitudes like greed, or kindness or hate or wealth and poverty are all over the place but that doesn't change the fact that Steemit and steem has been / still are life changers is some occasions. Check out the exponential growth in the third World countries (damn...I hate that expression) or wherever there is poverty...
So long story short, after spending all those months reading articles from fellow Steemians such as which he also has faith in Steem and tries to convince people to power up (by the way that guy...really produces...like a machine, so check him out if you still haven't) and since I really believe that one day it could be a life changer for me too, I decided to buy some steem and power up my account. And I think it was a good opportunity to do so, since the prices are really attractive nowadays.
So here is the proof...1.3K steem ready for power up
Powering down was never an option for me and it makes me feel sad to witness great investors powering down...as if they lost their faith....And this is just the beginning...because I will continue to do so every now and then, whenever I think it is a good opportunity. Don't misjudge me...I am not a whale or something and this money come from a hard working person, who lives in a country (Greece) that is financially damaged due to the financial crisis. It is just that it is a risk I am willing to take if there is a chance to improve my life and help other members of this community to do the same as much as I can! Time will tell if it was the right choice or not...
