I've just discovered that is running a contest for parents. This one is on the theme of kids saying the darndest things. It's been a while since my girls were little, so I can't remember most of the funny things they came up with, but there are a couple of things my eldest said that have stuck in my he'd. So I thought I'd take this opportunity to share them.
I can't remember exactly how old she would have been at the time, but I'd guess about 4 or 5.
Pancakes were always popular in our house and one day, when I was making them, she came into the kitchen just as I was tossing the pancake and gave me this compliment:
"Mummy, you are such a good tosser!"
The other incident was when we were in the car and she confidently told my husband and I that she knew what boys' private bits were called: "They are called peanuts!"
She thought it so funny that were called a food!
Don't you just love the innocence of children?
