STEEMTIPS: How a minnow became the 7th highest paid blogger on Steem. Hint: Utopian.io

While I (Hive account@aggroed) was working on my brand new series about the top 28 highest paid Steemians I noticed something unique about number 7. The 7th highest paid blogger on Steem is a minnow with not that many followers!!! I'd like to introduce you to Hive account@rosatravels.

How is this possible?

It turns out that the blogger is constantly doing project work for Hive account@utopian-io. Their blog is one utopian post after another. Their own posts make $1-2 on average. The accepted posts through Hive account@utopian-io are making $30-80. Because they working throughout the day they are receiving rewards from that account throughout the day, and have managed to become one of the highest paid bloggers over the last 30 days!

What does this mean for you?

Turns out minnows have a chance to benefit more than others from the Hive account@utopian-io service. Whales who already receive lots of post rewards have to give up 25% of their author rewards back to Hive account@utopian-io. If your rewards are high you might not gain as much as you lose by working with Hive account@utopian-io. However, a minnow doesn't have many author rewards on their posts, so losing 25% of a $1-2 on a post is small price to pay for the $30-80 upvote that can come from Hive account@utopian-io.
