Hello Splinterlands lovers, how are you all? I hope everyone is well and regularly beating the opponent on the battlefield. Today, I have come to discuss a card that can play a great role in increasing your winning margin in the current meta game. The card is called ‘Kelan Gaines’.
The biggest feature of this card is its versatility. It is a dual-element card, which you can use in both Death and Dragon types of Splinter at the same time. This flexibility is a great advantage in arranging the strategy of the game. Let’s go a little deeper into the detailed statistics of the card and its abilities at different levels.
Kelan Gaines is an 8 mana Legendary or Epic level magic attack card (according to the design and abilities of the card). It is a ‘Human’ as a race. Even though it costs 8 mana, what you get in return is truly amazing. At level 1, it has a magic attack of 2, speed 5 and health 6. It has no armour, but its high speed makes it powerful from the start.
I have seen all the details of the card from level 1 to 8, and here I will discuss each important stage:
At the beginning, it comes with the ‘Snipe’ ability. This means that this card of yours will not directly hit the opponent’s first position card, but will target the middle or end non-melee (magic or ranged) cards. This is very effective in destroying the opponent’s main support cards.
After reaching level 2, Kelan Gaines gets the ‘Phase’ ability. This is one of the strongest aspects of this card. Usually, my magical attacks never miss, but because of this ability, the opponent’s magic attacks can also miss your card. Since its speed is 5, it will be able to dodge the opponent's attacks in many cases.
At medium levels, the card becomes even more dangerous when it gains the 'Backfire' ability. When an enemy unit misses an attack with this card, that enemy unit will take 2 damage instead. The combination of Backfire with Phase and high speed makes it the best in both defensive and offensive aspects.
At the highest level, the card literally becomes a monster. At level 8, its magic attack increases to 3,o 3 and it gains the 'Double Strike' ability. This means that it will attack twice per round. 6 magic damage per round (3+3) means that any strong opponent's card will be finished in an instant. Along with this, the speed of 6 and the health of 9 help it survive for a long time.
Since it is an 8 mana card, it is most effective in high mana battles. When used in Dragon Splinter, you can make it even more unbeatable by adding additional benefits to Dragon Summoner (such as armour or increased speed). Again, in Death Splinter, Kelan Gaines' magic attack with Thorns or Wicca ability will keep your opponent under pressure.
This card is a must-have, especially for those who like to play with a draw or miss strategy. Using a summoner like Brighton Bloom will increase its miss rate even more, which will cause the Backfire ability to trigger repeatedly.
In conclusion, Kelan Gaines is not just a c; it is a game-changer. The combination of its high speed, magic damage, and double strike has made it one of the best cards of the moment. Although its mana is a bit high, if you can position it correctly, victory is guaranteed. Having this card in your collection means you are one step ahead of others, especially in high-level leagues.
I hope you enjoyed today's review. If you have any special strategies for Kelan Gaines, please share them. We'll talk about other cards in the future. Until then, happy battling!
