Splinterlands is currently one of the most popular names in the world of blockchain gaming. One of the most interesting and competitive parts of this game is the Guild Brawl. After a long wait, another Guild Brawl is over and today I am going to share with you the rewards I received and the experience of opening Gladius Cases. Although I received a little less reward than expected in this Brawl, the excitement that works during the opening of each pack is truly incomparable as a regular player.
At the end of this Brawl, I received a total of only 7 thousand Merits as rewards. Although this may seem a little less than in previous Brawls, I got the opportunity to buy 3 Gladius Cases and some boosters with these tokens. In Splinterlands, you can't buy cards directly from the guild store, you have to use Merit Tokens to buy Gladius Cases, which give you powerful Gladiator cards. These cards usually have the 'Bloodlust' ability, which is a huge win in Brawls and certain tournaments.
I was a little bit more strategic before opening the packs. I collected some 'Blood Stones' and 'Power Stones' from the guild store. As we know, Blood Stones increase the chance of getting Legendary cards, and Power Stones double the chance of getting Gold Foil cards. My current Merit balance was 7,776. I bought 15 Power Stones and 15 Blood Stones to give my cards a chance to improve their quality. Then I bought 3 Gladius Cases with 6,000 Merit.
I was pretty excited when I opened the first pack. After opening the pack, I got 5 cards. The cards are: Bertrol Gobson, Katrelba Gobson, Witch of Warwick, Alva the Crusher and as a rare card I got Sarius. I personally like the Katrelba Gobson card because its double strike and bloodlust ability are quite dangerous for the opponent. Although there were no big surprises from the first pack, the cards will help strengthen my deck.
When opening the second pack, I was hoping to get at least one gold foil or legendary card. In this pack I got: Helmet Kharafax, Hugo Strongsword, Whistling Damon, another Witch of Warwick and as a rare card I got Ajax Lightfoot. Ajax Lightfoot is a very fast archer card, which is able to strike early on the battlefield. Although the gold foil card was not found, the duplicate cards will be useful for leveling up the card.
Finally, it was the turn of the third pack. This pack was the biggest highlight of today's opening. After opening the pack, the first thing I saw was an Epic card with a purple border. The cards are: Edith Emberstar (Epic), Chimney Wallstop, Witch of Warwick, Whistling Damon and Bertrol Gobson. Getting the Edith Emberstar card was the best deal of the day. Its high mana and powerful magic attack are capable of winning any tough battle. In addition, although the Chimney Wallstop card is common, its huge health and armor make it a great tank.
Overall, despite the small amount of rewards this time, the card opening experience was quite positive. In particular, getting an Epic card made up for the lack of all 3 packs. This is the fun of Splinterlands—it is difficult to predict when you will get the best card from which pack. This uncertainty and the addiction to victory have sustained the game for years. Since Gladiator cards are Soulbound, they cannot be sold, but the joy of using them to strengthen the guild and perform well in Brawl is different.
I am already preparing for the next Brawl. Hopefully, I can earn more rewards next time and share better cards with you. If you have also played Splinterlands, don't forget to tell me the story of your latest pack opening. I'm ending here for today, see you in the next gaming blog. Happy gaming!
