I took these pictures in 1989 while on a semester abroad. These were taken in either Northern India or Nepal---I cannot recall exactly where.

The figure is of Manjushri, The Bodhisattva of compassion. He was my favorite deity at the time. I was studying Tibetan culture at the time. Mahayana Buddhism is the primary religion amongst Tibetans.
