This is Mittens, everyone!
She's a six toed Calico with tons of spunk and mischief.
We took Mittens in from a fire that destroyed her home and left her owners unable to care for herself, and 3 siblings.
She had severe anxiety problems, and a general mistrust of humans after this event..
We tried to acclimate her to the new surroundings, but she didn't care much for us and tended to sleep under a bed or couch to avoid interaction.
After two years of love, care, and all the attention she can stand, we have the happy and well adjusted kitty you see here.
The only things she ever has to worry about now is the occasional mat in her long fur, which her humans are glad to assist.
She can't stand it these days if she's not in someone's lap, or if there isn't a hand on her at all times..
I'm so proud of how far this gorgeous thing has come, and look forward to being best friends for a long time.
