Sometimes when you choose to change the way you’ve been responding to people it can be frustrating when you don’t see the results you want to see. When you change your response to things they will change but it may take time for the other individual to respond differently to you.

I have a couple of different individuals in my life that I set my intent to change my relationships with. I had no control over the way they viewed me and there was nothing that could be said to change their mind. That however does not absolve me of my responsibility to live the best life I can live.
•
My desire for these relationships to come into harmony with my life rather than being disruptive to my life was my goal. With one relationship it took about 10 years for that to happen and for another relationship it took about 12 years. My intent never changed, my desire never wavered and all I did was change myself and my responses to these individuals
•
Within yourself you can address and change the way you view someone or an event that occurred and it is irrelevant if you’re able to work on it with the other individual involved. There is power in this because you are in total control of what that looks like and how that unfolds with you. You can be the change that is needed in this situation.

When you change your side of the relationship and your response to the other individual they begin to change. That change may take time and they may be resistant to things being different but regardless when you change then the world around you will change to meet you. Don’t get too upset if you don’t see the results you want just continue the healing that needs to happen within yourself.
