Personally I don't like Al Gore but I think he was right with his documentary An Inconvenient Truth from 2006. No matter if you like him or his questionable motives... Climate change is real and it will hit us. We'll have to deal with it.

Luckily we're definitely making some progress, for example in transitioning to renewable energies. A few hours ago I resteemed an article about how Germany is already powered by 85% renewables.

But it's still a long way to go and at some places on the planet you can already see the consequences of climate change.
For that reason there will be "An Inconvenient Sequel" to Al Gore's documentary, released on July 28.
