Hello people, as I told you, I am going to post first post of my series: "Photography for begginers". In this post I will try to explain to you term of photography, so lets begin :)
Photography is type of art where you record light passing through lens which goes to camera sensor. (More about how camera works, you will be able to read in some of next posts).
Etymology:
Word photography comes from Greeks with two words: 1."phōs" and 2. "graphé". First word, "phōs" means light and from it, word photo is created. Second word "graphé" means drawing, so with both words together photography represents "drawing with light".
History:
First ever photo was captuerd with camera obscura and it was created by Nicéphore Niépce in 1826 or 1827 at Saint-Loup-de-Varennes, France, and shows parts of the buildings and surrounding countryside of his estate, Le Gras, as seen from a high window.
He captured the scene with a pewter plate thinly coated with Bitumen of Judea, a naturally occurring asphalt. Exposure took several days.
Camera obscura:
First camera ever was created by ancient Chinese philosopher Mo Di who was first to discover and develop the scientific principles of optics. Camera obscura was big box with one hole and one mirror in it. It worked very simple, light passes through hole and reflects from mirror. Biggest flaw of camera obscura was long exposures. Exposure would last several hours even days.
The first photograph of a human being was captured in 1838 by Louis Daguerre and it captures two people in bottom left corner. You can clearly see one person who is having his boots shined but it means that there must be second person who is cleaning his boots. This photo took 7 minutes.
The first color photograph was made by the three-color method suggested by James Clerk Maxwell in 1855 and taken in 1861 by Thomas Sutton. The subject is a colored ribbon, usually described as a tartan ribbon.
This was all from first post of "Photography for begginers", I hope you enjoyed reading it and that you learned something. I would really appreciate any kind of support as follow, upvote, donation or resteem.
Cheers!
