Winter is here... or should I say flu season is here. It seems like we hear the same thing every year — it’s going to be bad flu season this year. In fact, different years bring different strains of flu, and the numbers of cases, complications, hospitalizations, and deaths related to the flu vary from year to year.
I work as a hospital nurse and for this winter season, we've had a few flu outbreaks already. Each time this happens, every patient is "prescribed" with the Tamiflu while every staff is "mandated" to take it. Whiles patients can say "no", staff members cannot work in the unit if they say "no".
Many have come forward with stories of Tamiflu side effects that I believe need to be shared.
