As Conor McGregor prepares for his Aug. 26 showdown against boxing's undisputed king Floyd Mayweather, "The Notorious" has brought in some notable sparring partners to help with his preparation for what will be the biggest event he has ever been involved with.
After sharing eight-rounds in the squared circle with McGregor, Pauli isn't particularly impressed with the Irishman's power.
"It’s definitely above average. I wouldn’t say it’s ‘Oh my God’ power," Malignaggi explained to Jim Rome. "This is what I call ‘Oh my God’ power, even in sparring, and you’re like ‘Oh my God,’ like wow, this guy really hits hard."
Pauli did acknowledge the fact that McGregor hits hard enough to potentially hurt Mayweather if he lands, and he also thinks Conor's awkwardness could pose some problems for Floyd, who has never dealt with a similar style before.
What are your thoughts boys and girls? Will "Mystic Mac" shock the world on Aug. 26, or will it be another night of easy work for the Money Team?
