Senator John McCain was the last senator to question former FBI Director James Comey on June eighth, but he seemed to have a strange line of questioning. He seemed to want to focus on the Hillary email investigation and the Russian hacking of the election, but came across as confusing to everyone. Some speculate dementia, but I see it as McCain playing to his base of supporters.
Later Senator McCain released this statement, “Maybe going forward I shouldn’t stay up late watching the Diamondbacks night games.”
Even his statement plays to his base. Personally I think Senator Digby’s response is a better excuse.
