How to make soap with glycerin
This method to make soap has become very popular for the simplicity in its manufacture and the variety that you can get.
MATERIALS TO MAKE GLICERINE SOAP
1) Glycerin base soap bar.
2) Dye for glycerin.
3) Glitter for glycerin.
4) Aromatic essence.
5) Silicone molds, thermometer (optional).
MAKE SOAPS WITH GLYCERINE STEP BY STEP:
1. CUT WHAT WE ARE GOING TO USE FROM THE GLYCERIN BAR
Grab the bar of glycerin base soap, which you can get in drugstores and specialty stores. Here you can get glycerin base. Estimate the amount you will need and cut the bar with a knife. Preferably cut it in squares so that later the heating is easier.
2. HEATING at 60º
Heat the part that you cut to 60º. You can heat the glycerin in the microwave, or on a hot plate. It is advisable to previously cut the glycerin in squares so that the heating can be faster. Glycerin becomes liquid at 60º so it is not necessary to heat it more. In our case we have used a heating plate.
3. CAST THE ESSENCE AND COLORING
Once the glycerin has melted, it is time to pour the essences and the glycerin dye. Here you can play as you want with colors and smells.
In our case we used a blue and glitter dye for cosmetics. Having made this soap with children, we wanted to give the soap that magic touch.
This operation must be carried out quickly because the glycerin solidifies relatively quickly.
4. CASTING IN SILICONE MOLDS
To make your soaps you have had to choose the molds that best suit your taste, depending on the soap's mission or if you are going to do it with children. In our case, since we have done it with children we have taken a few teddy bear molds. These silicone molds can be purchased at any supermarket, several stores, since they are the same as those used in baking. Here we leave you some molds.
5. LET COOL
After 1-2 hours the soap will be formed and you can unmold it. Ready to use!
