I have a special recipe for you. This is a raw, vegan, gluten free and sugar free chocolate tart. ย
Look at ingredients, each of them is a real superfood! ๐ย
Ingredients:
Base:
- 2 glasses of dates
- Approx. ยพ glass of coconut shreds
- Approx. ยพ glass of ground almonds (almond flour)
- 1 - 2 tbsp. of chia seeds
Cream:
- 3 big avocados (I recommend hass)
- 3 ripe bananas (preferably with brown dots on the peel)
- 4 tbsps. of cocoa
- 1 tbsp. of carob
- 1 tbsp. of coconut oil
- optional: date syrup or honey (no vegan)
- dried fruits or nuts for decoration: goji berries, cashews, figs or fresh fruits: blueberries, raspberries, strawberries or wild strawberries
Preparation:
Base:
Soak the dates in warm water for one hour. Then drain off the water and blend them smoothly.ย
Ground the chia seeds.ย
Add coconut shreds, ground chia seeds and ground almonds until you achieve the proper consistency of your "doughโ which you will later lay at the bottom and sides of a large cake tin.
Cream:
Put avocado, bananas, coconut oil, carob and cocoa to a bowl, blend them until creamy. Check if the mixture is sweet enough and add syrup or honey, if necessary.ย
Then, put the cream on the dough that you laid in the cake tin. Decorate it with dried or fresh fruits, nuts and seeds.
Put the cake in the fridge for a few hours or even overnight.
