For me, there is a time when I drink more smoothies from fruits and vegetables. Here are my six ideas for the best healthy duos. Which one do you choose?
1. Watermelon & strawberries
Blend:
- 1 cup of strawberries
- 2 cups of watermelon cut into pieces
- a glass (or more) of coconut water
- ice
- optional: a tablespoon of maple syrup or honey (no vegan)
2. Avocado & mango
Blend:
- 2 ripe frozen bananas (preferably those with brown dots on the skin)
- 1 ripe avocado
- 1 ripe mango
- 1 glass of vegetable milk, eg coconut or almond milk
3. Spinach & pineapple
Blend:
- 1/2 pineapple without skin
- 1 apple (with peel and seeds)
- a handful of spinach
- a piece of fresh ginger
- a glass (or more) of coconut water
4. Cacao & blueberries
Blend:
- a handful of fresh spinach
- 1 pear with peel, cut into pieces
- 1 ripe banana
- 1/2 cup of frozen or fresh blueberries
- 1 tablespoon of raw cocoa
- 1 tablespoon of black sesame or unsanaminated sesame seeds
- 1 glass of almond milk or other vegetable milk
5. Strawberries & beetroot
Blend:
- 1 raw beetroot cut into pieces, along with leaves
- a glass of fresh or frozen strawberries
- 1 apple with peel, cut into pieces
- 1 orange peeled and divided into parts
- optional for sweetening: 1 ripe banana or honey spoon
- a glass (or more) of coconut water
6. Kale & pear
Blend:
- a few leaves of kale, or a large handful of chopped kale
- 1 pear with peel, cut into pieces
- 1 ripe banana
- 1 apple with peel, cut into pieces
- a glass (or more) of any vegetable milk
