Cystosasis is a mix of genres, it is a FPS game where you can also find elements of point and click adventure games and survival horror games. Game was released in 2009 and was developed by Action Forms studio. Story of the game is an interesting one, it takes us on a North Pole region where we play as a meteorologist Alexander Nestorov trying to go home and board a nuclear powered icebreaker. Due to some tragic events the ship gets stranded in ice leaving all of it's crew exposed to the elements and some strange energy appears that mutates them, Alexander somehow needs to survive the ordeal.
Main game's mechanic are the heat sources that will keep you alive in the cold. When you wander around in blizzard and ice your stamina and health depletes so you have to find a shelter and heat sources to heal up. Another interesting game mechanics are the flashbacks where you return back in time and can control the characters during the event of ship disaster and change the events that transpired. Supernatural events are what made this game interesting and you will not know what the hell is going on until the end of the game where you get some kind of explanation of the supernatural.
